2012 Jedi Gathering (Ohio)LOGAN, OH July 12-15, 2012 What: 2012 Annual Jedi Gathering A real-life gathering together of Jedi and Force Followers from all parts of the world and online community to share and exchange knowledge, ideas, insights, applications, and enlightenment related to the Jedi path. In addition, this Gathering also serves as opportunity to meet other Jedi in real life. Who: YOU!!! No matter how much planning goes into this event, it will only be a success if there are Jedi there to share it and enjoy it. YOU are the ones who will make this Gathering great. To register or request more information, please submit aJedi Gatherings Registration Form to be added to the notification list. We're expecting at least 15-30 people this year! When: Thursday July 12, 2012 – Sunday July 15, 2012 Lodge check-in time is 3:30 pm on Thursday. Check out time is 11 am on Sunday. People can filter in throughout the weekend as their schedules allow. Although everyone is encouraged to be there for the full day on Friday and Saturday when the majority of workshops will take place to get the most benefit out of the Gathering. Location: Logan, Ohio Mountain Lodge Cabins in Hocking Logan, Ohio, 43138 Phone: 740-331-4840 Website: http://www.cabinsinhocking.com/hocki...dge-cabin.html Accommodations: Lodge, Cabins, and Tents Primary lodging will be in the Mountain Lodge which is a secluded, 5,000 square foot spacious handicapped accessible log home that sleeps up to 27 people, has 6 bedrooms, 3 ½ baths, a stone wood burning fire place and gas fireplace, air conditioning, a large Jacuzzi hot tub, free wifi, a media/game room with a 58" plasma TV, VCR, DVD player, HG satellite, stereo system, pool table, darts, air hockey, and chess table, a full kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, appliances, coffeemaker, dishes, and glasses, towels and linens provided, a large laundry room with front loading washer and dryer, an outdoor fire ring, a gas BBQ grill, a covered back deck and balcony, and 60 acres of secluded trails. Pets are not allowed in Mountain Lodge, but pet-friendly cabins are available and we also have permission to have one or two tents on the Mountain Lodge grounds. Additional Notes: -Linens, towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish washing detergent, and gas for outside grills will be provided. -Pets are allowed only at cabins specified as “Pet Friendly” and must be approved by the campground office prior to arrival. Pet fee is $30-$100 depending on the number of pets and cabin. There will be a $500 charge plus damages if pets are brought into non pet-friendly cabins or lodges. -The cutting down of trees is strictly prohibited and will result in a $100 fine, regardless of whether the tree is dead or alive. DO NOT cut branches from trees to use as firewood. -Smoking is not allowed inside the cabins or lodges. You are welcome to smoke outside, but please be respectful of non-smokers when doing so. Ashtrays are provided. Please respect the property and place butts in the provided ashtrays and not on the ground. There is a $500 charge plus damages for smoking in the buildings. They are made of logs and retain the odor of the smoke. Cost: $75-$165 per person for food and lodging (free for kids 5 and under) 2012 Gathering costs are as follows: Kids 6 and under – Free Kids 7-13 - $75 (by January 31st)/$100 (by June 1st)/$135 (at the door) Adults 14 and older - $135 (by January 31st)/$150 (by June 1st)/$165 (at the door) The cost for lodging for 4 days and 3 nights, including all amenities, is estimated to be about $125 per person if at least 20 people attend. Cost for food, including 8 meals and snacks throughout the weekend (Thursday dinner, Friday and Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Sunday breakfast), is estimated to be between $30 and $40 per person. To take advantage of the Early Registration prices, you must submit a non-refundable $30 advance deposit either through check or Paypal. Detailed instructions on how to submit payment will be given when you submit a Gathering Registration Form. Full payment can be made at the door or at your earliest convenience. For anyone with financial considerations, a payment plan can be worked out. Additionally, the meal plan is optional, so you may also choose to provide your own food for less cost. Thursday night dinner will be provided regardless. Food: Optional Meal Plan / Bring Your Own: If you opt for the group meal plan, meals will include Thursday dinner, Friday and Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Sunday breakfast plus limited snacks throughout the weekend. Meals will be prepared at the Lodge through group effort by the Gathering attendees. Food will not be catered, so everyone will be expected to take turns helping with either cooking or cleaning throughout the weekend. Food cost is included in the total cost for the Gathering unless you choose to opt out and bring your own food. The Lodge comes with a refrigerator and full kitchen for storage and preparation of your food. Just be sure to label your food if you bring your own. Packing List A rough packing list can be found here, although you will likely not need a tent, sleeping bag, or linens if you’re staying in the Lodge. The Lodge provides towels, although it’s usually nice to have an extra. Carpooling Carpooling options may be available depending on your location.
